Southport Lifeboat Quads help rescue a missing dog

1st April 2019

CALL OUT – 31/3/19 – 16:40 – Southport Quads helped rescue a missing dog from Southport Beach.

Salli, a black and white Collie Cross had slipped away from the owners the previous day.

Having been sighted by the pier in the mud and grass, the Southport Lifeboat Crew were asked if we could assist.

Salli was very nervous and didn’t want to be caught, so the quad team had to persevere and chase her until she tired.

About one mile North West of the pier the crew were able to catch Salli and bring her back to the Lifeboat Station to be reunited with her owners shortly before 6pm.
