Southport lady taken to hospital after slipping on an oil spill in the town centre

An 80-year old local lady slipped on oil coming out of the air conditioning units from Santander on Corporation Street at approximately 2.30pm, Thursday 7 May.

The fall caused injury to her right arm and shoulder. The lady was taken to Southport hospital.

A witness said:

“The oil was running down the path, its lucky no one else went over.

The council staff has now cleaned up the majority of the oil.
