KGV Open Evening for entry September 2013: Plan your future!

As part of KGV’s final Open Evening of the year, the College will host a ‘Plan Your Future’ convention in the college’s canteen. Featuring a number of stalls from Voluntary Organisations to Higher Education providers, the convention will help you find out more about your options post KGV. University of Central Lancashire, Liverpool John Moores University, Myerscough College and Liverpool University will be on hand to talk about the subject combinations you need to get you to university and representatives from Age Concern and Smaller Earth will talk to you about volunteering opportunities that will help to make your UCAS personal statement stand out! For those interested in the Media, Southport Visiter Journalist Joe Thomas will be giving a talk on ‘Getting Started in Journalism’ and Dan Fox and Mark Ellingham from Chat Noir Productions will talk about ‘Independent Film Production’.

All our subject teachers will be on hand to talk you through the wide variety of level 3 courses offered at KGV College, and Dream Days Parties will be providing face painting for younger children in the canteen between 5 and 7pm. KGV’s final Open Evening is on Wednesday 23rd January from 4.30 – 7.00 pm. For further information on the Media talks please e mail to book your place as numbers are limited.
