Southport fraudster jailed for using ex’s bank card

A Southport man has been jailed for using his partner’s bank card details after he’d spilt up from her.

Christopher Josseph, 46, of Kingfisher Court, Manchester Road, appeared at Sefton Magistrates Court on October 3, following probation reports, in relation to three charges of fraud by false representation.

The court heard that Josseph had kept the Barclays and Natwest bank card details of his ex-partner and over a three-month period towards the end of 2014 used them to spend more than £1,600 on goods and credit card bills.

The magistrates jailed him for 22 weeks for each offence to run concurrently. He was also ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge upon his release.
