Southport Football Club are pleased to announce that James Tedford will become the newย Club Secretary and Finance Administratorย at the Merseyrail Community Stadium.

Joining the Senior Management Team at Scottish Womenโ€™s Champions, Glasgow City FC back in 2012, he was involved in a number of operational matters at the club. His main role being leading on the UEFA Womenโ€™s Champions League match organisation.

In August 2015 he made the switch down south to Chelsea Women to advise and co-ordinate their European participation during their maiden year in the competition and subsequently became Match-day Co-ordinator for all their domestic matches that season.

A individual with a vast knowledge of the football landscape, the club is delighted to attract someone of Jamesโ€™ calibre.

Witnessing the win over Boreham Wood, the Scotsman is excited about the opportunity at the Port; โ€œHaving spent the last six years working in football administration at two extremely forward thinking and ambitious clubs, I am grateful to be given this opportunity to work at another similar setup.

โ€œAfter speaking with Natalie it was evident that Southport FC match my expectations on and off the pitch and I canโ€™t wait to get started.โ€

James will start officially on Monday 19 November; withย Ken Hilton working with himย for a period of time to ensure the transition is smooth as possible as he relocates.
