A passerby who wishes not to be named said: “They looked like they were having a great time – the older shoppers was not to pleased”
Cllr David Barton, who is a leading campaigner for the regeneration and restoration of Southport town centre, said: “Clearly this is not the kind of behaviour we want to see in Southport, particularly as so many people are working incredibly hard to improve the town centre and restore its many unique features and attractions.
“We want shoppers and families to come to Southport to enjoy a day out without being faced with this kind of behaviour. The people involved in this incident have embarrassed themselves and the town and I would urge anyone who knows their identities to notify the authorities so that the appropriate action can be taken.”
