A Southport dance troupe which attended a competition at Rhyl Town Hall On 6th – 7th June came away with 10 medals.
The troupe – led by Philippa Sandiford – had not been in competition before; the competition was one of the largest in the north west and the girls were a credit to their teacher.
The age range of children were from 7-16 and were as follows;
Morgan Maddocks – 4th in Ballet
4th in modern 3rd in Street Dance
Pia Makinson – 3rd Ballet
Nixie Makinson – 4 th Street Dance
Naomi Wills – 1st Lyrical 4th Acro
Darcy Wills – 1st Contemporary. 2nd Improvisation
Katy Hamilton – 2nd Lyrical
Bella Brooks -3rd Modern
10 medals out of 13 entries plus 2 group entries
