Community groups given a boost

Living Well Sefton has announced it is launching the second round of its Community Resilience Grant to support local community groups and individuals in delivering health and wellbeing projects.

The grants have already benefited many communities when the first round of funding was distributed at the beginning of the year. Applications for the second round will be opened at a networking event in Waterside Lodge, Southport on Thursday, May 4 from 2pm.

And who better to provide more information about what the grant can achieve than those groups who have already received it. As in the previous grant round, groups can apply to receive up to £2,500, with individuals being able to apply for smaller grants of up to £500 providing they are supported by a community partner.

Living Well Sefton expects the grants to be used on projects looking to actively engage local people in making positive changes to their health and wellbeing.

Everyone is invited to come along to the networking and grant launch event to link in with other health and wellbeing providers, meet grant recipients, discuss the grant process with Anne-Marie Morrison, Living Well’s Community Resilience Officer, and also discover more about Living Well Sefton.

If you want to book onto the event go online at Eventbrite (www.eventbrite.co.uk). Refreshments will be provided and booking early is recommended.
