Megan Wardale, a graduate of Southport College’s Graphic Design HND course has fought off significant competition to secure a year-long internship within the packaging design department at Mondelez International; a company responsible for over 165 confectionery and snack brands across the world. Mondelez’s brands include Cadbury, Oreo, Milka and Toblerone.

Megan studied her HND at Southport College before heading to the University of Brighton to complete a one-year top-up to a BA Honours degree. She came back to Southport College to visit the current HND group as part of their Alumni programme.

Megan said “I would definitely recommend The HND at Southport College. The resources are fantastic and the professional practice elements of the course prepared me for my career. The tutors who have first-hand experience of the industry provide endless support and encouragement which helps massively.

Megan’s visit was arranged through Southport College’s Alumni Network. Southport College is keen to grow its network of alumni and would love to hear from former students.

Right now, there are students in the classrooms where you once sat, facing similar challenges and opportunities to the ones that you did. Being connected to you could really help them. It doesn’t matter when you left Southport College, whether you’re in education or employment, whether you still live nearby or have moved further away, there are still ways you can help!

A Southport College spokesperson said “We are really keen to hear how our former students are doing and if they can help inspire our current students to achieve success in their chosen subjects. Our aim is to grow a community of alumni that can support each other through networking opportunities, be kept up to date with developments at the College and perhaps get back in touch with long lost friends.”

Southport College is now waiting to hear from former students through the alumni section on their website. Click here to join
