Bikers from across the North-West are set to cruise through Merseyside and Sefton in aid of Neurosupport and Neurological conditions.
The initiative, supported by Sefton Council working in partnership with Bikers for Neuro, Neurosupport, RoADAR: RoSPA Advanced Riders & Drivers, Merseyside Police, Woodvale Rally and Asbridge Promotions, will see bikers ride from Liverpool Cruise Terminal to Kings Gardens, Southport, where a Summer Fayre will be taking place.
Neurosupport provides help and support for those who suffer with a neurological condition, their families and the professionals who care for them throughout their journey. As part of its programme, every patient who is admitted to the Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery has access to their facilities and support network.
Cllr Ian Moncur, Sefton Council’s Cabinet Member for Children Schools, Families and Leisure, said: “Bikers for Neuro (BFN) has been supporting Neurosupport since 2011 and it is fantastic that they finish their latest fundraising ride in Southport.
“It will be a fantastic day for everybody involved and we hope plenty of residents come out to celebrate with them and enjoy the Fayre in the afternoon.”
The Ride commences at the Liverpool Cruise Terminal at 10am on Saturday, August 23, with riders leaving at 10:30 and arriving at King’s Gardens at 11:30. The ride is being marshalled by RoADAR: RoSPA Advanced Riders and Drivers.
If you are interested in supporting or taking place in the ride, please arrive at the Cruise Terminal at 10:00am.
