Southport assistant manager quits

20th December 2017

Southport FC can confirm that Assistant Manager John Dreyer has departed from his role at the club.

On his departure, John Dreyer said: “After on-going discussions, it is with much regret that I relinquish my position as Assistant Manager at Southport FC. I felt that being based down South I couldn’t give Kev the necessary support that is required. I wish everyone every success and I am very confident that results will soon come good.”

The Board and Kevin Davies would like to place on record their thanks to John for his efforts and dedication during his time at Southport and we know this was not an easy decision to take.

The club will name John’s successor at the earliest opportunity.
