Art exhibition a “must-see”
Trinity Arts is delighted to announce that their art exhibition on May 12-13 will feature works by artist Albin Trowski.
The Polish artist had a colourful life, including serving in four armies in WWII. He was injured in the D-Day landings and then recovered in Ormskirk, going on to study art after the war at the Liverpool School of Art.
Trinity Arts Marketing Officer Joy Aldred said, “Albin has work shown in galleries and private collections all over the world and we’re thrilled to be able to feature some of his work at our annual art exhibition. It’s going to be a great weekend with over 100 pieces of artwork on sale from local artists, as well as demonstrations and our famous cakes and refreshments. Make it one of your must-see stops in the Southport Festival.”
Another artist featured at the exhibition is last year’s Lancashire Life artist of the year finalist Michael Treanor. Michael, a watercolour artist from Aughton, was selected from over 100 amateur and professional artists, as one of three finalists in the Lancashire Life Landscape Artist of the year. He will be exhibiting four watercolours at our exhibition.
The Art Exhibition on 12-13 May, at Holy Trinity Church Parish Centre on Hoghton Street, is open 10am – 6pm on Saturday and on Sunday 12 noon – 5pm.
