OTSNews today spoke with round table member, Matthew Rycraft who Said: “Southport and Hesketh Round Table would like to thank all the local residents who came out to see the Christmas Float this year, we had great pleasure bringing Christmas joy to so many local households.
We had a unprecedented positive response each night from people viewing the Sleigh and from each one of our volunteers, some from the age of 9 years old, had a fabulous time each night. Father Christmas has now gone back to the North Pole after 2 weeks of visiting Southport but will be back in 2016.
Our Float this year raised the highest amount seen at Southport and Hesketh Round Table, beating last year by £300, and we have the people of Southport to thank. Our total was £5029 which will all be donated to local charities, thank you for helping us raise these funds and being part of this special event.”
