Southport Air Show: last day, 8 July 2018

8th July 2018

The last day of the amazing 2018 Southport Air Show was again a hot one, with clear blue skies and high temperatures.

I could not help but feel a pang of nostalgia for the poor little Bristol Blenheim Bomber, as it flew off over the Irish Sea all alone. This is the world’s only remaining flying Bristol Blenheim. Therefore, when it’s gone that’s it, the show is finally over…

Nevertheless, today the Blenheim had the sterling company of two loyal spitfire escorts…

The Tigers Army Parachute Display Team put on their habitually astounding appearance as well…

Ears plugs may be advised when watching the awesome Typhoon doing its stuff…

The Wingwalkers did their thing again too.
