    Southport & Ainsdale’s Paul Howard books his place at The 145th Open

    Southport & Ainsdale’s Paul Howard booked his place at The 145th Open at Royal Troon 

    Paul Howard secured a place in next months Open Championship after coming through a play-off to claim one of only three spots available, Tuesday 28 June 2016.

    Paul spoke to OTSNews.co.uk, he said: “I’m absolutely delighted, I felt the a bit more pressure with the local support, but I was prepared!”

    Jack Senior from Heysham won the qualifying on -5. Jack said: “Hillside was playing tough which really suited me, I really got it going -6 for the last eight holes – Troon here we com!!”
