Southport 6 year-old raised £37 for Jacks Journey

A six-year-old from Southport has raised £37 for local Charity Jacks Journey

This morning Alexa McLean, aged 6, braved the rain to do a car boot sale to fundraise for Jacks Journey, a local charity, Sunday 1 May 2016.

For the second time this weekend she got up at 6am, after going to banks car boot yesterday to find it closed due to rain forcast. Today, the Southport pupil attended Burscough Car Boot.

She raised £37 from selling her toys and outgrown clothes in 1 and a half hours before the event was closed due to the continuous down pour.

Alexa has been short listed to the finals of ‘Face of Liverpool’ competition and to support her in the competition she is raising awareness for Jacks Journey through a number of upcoming events.
