Sluice room fire at Southport property

Firefighters were called to a fire at a building on Chase Heys in Southport at 9.28am on Thursday, September 7.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called at 9.22am and crews were alerted at 9.23am. They were on scene at 9.28am.

Three fire engines attended the incident and crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, which occurred in a sluice room at the property.

No-one was injured.

An extractor fan was damaged by fire and a sluice rom sustained fire and smoke damage.

Firefighters remained at the scene for around one hour.
