Southport police officers along with specials were at Southport College continuing work on the #NoMoreKnives initiative.
The knife arch was utilised with the co-operation of college staff.
On this occasion no knives were identified however, cannabis and some drug paraphernalia were found and an 18 year old man received a cannabis caution as a result.
The knife pictured was seized from a teenaged boy earlier in the week in Southport. A decision on the outcome for that is currently pending from the Youth Offending Team of an outside Force.
