Skem Councillor Clueless Over Pothole Propaganda Posting

8th February 2018
Skelmersdale councillor Liz Savage has admitted that she has been spreading stories about Lancashire County Council’s pothole repair programme without having any direct knowledge of what has gone on.

Liz told the world on Facebook that the Tory-run council had refused a Labour bid to spend more on potholes in the hard-pressed County Council. But when asked by friends for more details of what had gone on, Liz admitted she did not know any as she wasn’t at the council’s budget meeting concerned.

Jonathan Cunningham of Birkdale, who had asked Liz Savage on Facebook to provide more details of her allegations, smelled a rat when she referred him to Councillors Mohammed Iqbal and Azhar Ali for more information. He accused Ms Savage of ‘hiding behind someone else’s posting’ and being unsure of her facts.

He posted:

“Before you forward a political statement, please do your homework as it just seems unprofessional and amateur.”
