That’s the message from a hoard of local businesses who say that residents should shop local wherever possible in the run up to Christmas 2020 after a turbulent year for the retail sector.
Shops and businesses across the resort have joined up to share a mutual message to shoppers this week, saying ‘instead of lining Amazon’s pockets, you could ask friends and family for a voucher for local businesses.
“Bookshops, restaurants, salons, cinemas, craft stores, arts venues or whatever you’re into need to be supported.
“Hopefully we can all help each other and still be here next year.”
