Sefton Council make Southport electric chair safe

Sefton Council has now deployed engineers to St George gardens on Lord Street, Southport and made the seating area safe following reports of live cable touching a metal bench.

Sefton Council declined to comment on the potentially life threatening blunder.

A metal bench in St George gardens on Lord Street, Southport is to avoided as an electric cable from the christmas light been connected to it.

Tudor Ellis works on Lord Street he said: “I spotted this at around 8.30am this morning (Monday 11 July) and thought it was the work of pranksters so I removed it. However I didn’t touch the bench and the wiring looked live.

“I have reported the potential threat to life to Sefton Council.”

OTSNews.co.uk has contacted Sefton Council for a comment but they have declined to make a statement on the issue.
