Southport FC will start their season on Sat 6 August against beaten National League North playoff finalists Boston United.
The club’s full-season fixture list was released at 9am this morning, giving Southport another tough start to the season.
Four opponents in Southport’s first six games finished 13th or higher last term.
The club will host Peterborough Sports for their first home fixture on 13 August, and the Yellows will play Curzon Ashton, for the second consecutive season, for the traditional Boxing Day and New Year’s Day games.
The National League North, which saw Southport finish in 11th place last season, will contain two extra teams this season, adding four games.
The club has so far added two off-season signings, 25-year-old Nyal Bell, a forward most recently at Tamworth, and 25-year-old Keenan Quansah, defender, from Stalybridge.
Southport will also host a bumper bank holiday fixture at home against rivals Chester in April, before ending the season away at Leamington.
