Sefton council slammed for not gritting Southport roads

30th January 2019

Motorists have slammed Sefton for not gritting AGAIN.

The roads around Southport were a total disgrace this morning and a number of cars collided with each other due to black ice.

Roads were left untreated and in a dangerous condition during the morning rush hour.
Major roads including Lord Street and the Coast Road were covered in ice.

One driver said he lost control of his vehicle on Guildford Road and had to mount the pavement and said he could have killed someone if he hadn’t reacted in time.

He is now planning to sue the council for stress.
