Sefton Council have launched ‘Listen to my Story’ a campaign in partnership with Merseyside Police to tackle the sensitive subject of child sexual exploitation (CSE).

CSE is a form of child abuse and is against the law.

It can have devastating effects on the lives of victims and their families.

Although the numbers of children identified as being at risk of, or actually being, sexually exploited, are relatively small, Sefton Council and Merseyside Police want to be proactive in helping you to be aware of the risks that your child may meet, whether face-to-face or vitually through social media and the internet.

For more information about the campaign and for details of how you can help raise awareness of this subject, visit the Listen to my Story website.

Safeguarding vulnerable child and young people is the responsibility of all public agencies.
