Sefton Council drain Marine Lake Southport
This project is to clear rubbish near the sluice gates, to remove the silt that impedes sailing and to remove pedal cycles and other debris that are a danger to wildlife.
Bikes, chairs, benches and other rubbish can now be seen at the bottom of the lake
The cost of this project is between £15,000 and £20,000 which comes out of the annual maintenance budget funds from the sea front.
