Sefton Council dig up Chapel Street one week before Christmas

Work on Southport‘s pedestrianised shopping street one week before Christmas will have a “serious” effect on trade, say a concerned trader.

The decision to replace paving this week was described as “gobsmacking” by a manager of one remaining retail outlets on Chapel Street.

He also added, “that these businesses depended on the Christmas trade.”

OTSNews.co.uk approached the Sefton Council for a comment.
