Sefton break pact to fly flag to celebrate disgraced Prince’s birthday

Sefton Council are flying the union flag today to mark Prince Andrew’s Birthday.

Furious republicans who were walking past the town hall today reacted in shock to see the Union flag flying above Southport town hall in an apparent tribute to the disgraced Prince Andrew.

Stephen Nicholson wrote to OTS news to say he was stunned when our shopping today to see the Union Flag flying at full mast at the top of the town hall on Lord Street.

He said “it’s a disgrace. The government said we didn’t need to fly a flag so why are we? It’s horrific that this man is embroiled in such a scandal but we keep the flag flying for him to celebrate his birthday.

“Sefton haven’t got a clue.”
