Security vehicle alarm goes off accidentally Co-operative Food Marshside Road Southport

A DRIVER was trapped in his security van for ten minutes after an automatic safety alarm triggered.

Customers at the Co-operative Food on Marshside Road, Southport this morning (Saturday August 30th 2014) were surprised to hear the van blurt out over and over again: “Help, Help, security vehicle under attack – please call the police!”

But there was no attack, the alarm had been triggered accidentally and the driver was trapped in the vehicle for ten minutes before it shut off.
