A Stanley High School pupil has been rushed to hospital after being knocked down car whilst crossing Marshside Road, Friday 20 November 2015.
The emergency services were called to the Marshside Road shortly after 8.40pm, to reports of a road traffic collision.
A school boy was struck by a car when crossing the road and has now been taken to Ormskirk hospital by ambulance.
The condition of the child is not known at the present time. An update will follow.
Police have now arrived at the scene (9am) and drivers are advised to avoid the area.
