Police have closed off part of Scarisbrick New Road this morning after a car lost control and ended up on its roof.
The incident happened near to the Richmond Pub and has seen the road partially closed to traffic between Kew Roundabout and Haig Avenue.
The driver of a yellow car lost control of their vehicle and the car ended up on its roof.
Eye witnesses say the driver managed to escape the car with help from passers by and was out of the vehicle by the time emergency services arrived.
Police have closed off the road and drivers are being advised to avoid the area until the debris is removed.
