Save Brookdale Petition – Southport Let’s Make It Count

The Friends of Brookdale group are urging everyone to sign our petition to help save this essential facility.

Time is rolling on and we shall be presenting the petition soon; consequently we need as many signatures as we can get ASAP.

Brookdale is a special facility, based in Ainsdale, unmatched in the area!

Brookdale is especially unique because this centre is the only Dementia/Alzheimer’s specialist care centre in a catchment area of approximately 120,000 people. The centre is ideally situated for the entire region it serves. The Brookdale staff members are so kind and extremely well trained.

Furthermore, none of us ever know when we may ‘personally’ require such expert assistance with an elderly family member if dementia/Alzheimer’s strikes. Because of this latter point the Brookdale fight is everyone’s fight!

We have also received several lengthy visits from both Labour and Libdem councillors who are strongly opposed to this outrageous Sefton Council closure proposal.

Support for our hard – fought Brookdale campaign has been wide-ranging and overwhelming.
