Sandpipers charity turns 30

9th November 2018

Residents at a respite holiday centre in Southport celebrated their 30th Pearl Anniversary with a special party.

Revitalise Sandpipers, a holiday centre sup- porting disabled people and carers, hosted an afternoon of celebrations.

The charity’s chief executive Chris Simmonds and chairperson Mindy Sawhney attended last week’s celebrations alongside invited guests including the Mayor of Sefton, Councillor Dave Robinson.

Throughout the afternoon, guests enjoyed a variety of entertainment and refreshments in celebration of the milestone occasion, including canapés, live music and entertainment from local artists Laurel and Hardy lookalikes.

A keynote speech by chairperson Mindy Sawhney was then given, before celebrations
culminated with a performance from local musicians the Ukulele Minstrels.
