Traffic is in chaos on Preston New Road after a Kia driver pulled out of a petrol station forecourt and instantly smashed into an oncoming car.
The accident happened just after 7am this morning and the road has been completely shut off by emergency services while a recovery truck is called to clear away the debris.
Angry commuters are now faced with long delays as they are forced to divert around the accident.
Paramedics are on scene and have treated one driver for minor shock while police have organised the road closure
