A number of residents of Birkdale village are speculating that there is going to be a new Starbucks opening in the village.
Due to the closure of the NatWest in the village people are speculating that this maybe were the new coffee-house will be situated. This a good sign for Birkdale village as a number of shops have closed down over the past few years. This Starbucks will be the second in the town with the other being on Lord Street.
Birkdale resident, Gary Ellis said: “This will be great for the Village, I love the coffee and it’s affordable”.
Rose Callaghan said: “I’m sure it will do well and it creates jobs but its case of the big national companies taking a hold on our local Village.”
