The large £500.00 Sefton Council litter bin on King Street in Southport town centre was taped up back in May this year.

Rotting food and house hold rubbish is now overflowing into the street.

A member of the public said, ‘This bin has not been emptied for over six months now, it is no wonder there so many rats around here.

As you can see members of the public are doing their part by filling the bins but the service responsible for collecting are letting us down by not taking them away.
