The emergency services were called to Arnside Road, Southport, at approximately 8:50am this morning (Thursday 12th July 2012) following an emergency call.

A local Parking Attendant (Civil Enforcement Officer) was hit by a van at the junction of Arnside Road and Church Street, Southport.

She was treated at the roadside by paramedics before being transferred to Southport & Formby DGH for further treatment.

Man Charged over Parking Attendant RTC

 Merseyside Police have charged a 44-year-old Southport man with driving a mechanically propelled vehicle without due care and attention.

He has been bailed to appear at South Sefton Magistrates Court on 1st August 2012.
