The emergency services were called to Liverpool road shortly after 3pm following a 999 call, Sunday January 31 2016.
Two cars collided at the junction St Johns/Clifford Road. Two appliances attend the scene and used cutting equipment to free a passenger from one of the vehicles.
The injured were treated at the scene then transferred to Southport Hospital.
