RTC Involving Stolen Vehicle, Moreton, Wirral

Merseyside Police is appealing for information after a suspected stolen vehicle collided with a pedestrian in the Moreton area tonight, Monday 20 June.

At around 7.35pm, a report was received of a Ford Trans Connect van seen travelling at speed on Manor Road, Upton, heading towards Moreton.

Following a brief pursuit, the vehicle drove into Lyons Close where it was involved in a collision with a 15-year-old girl, before hitting a brick outbuilding, causing considerable damage. The girl is described as having suffered superficial injuries and did not require hospital treatment.

The occupant of the van is believed to have made off on foot, and enquiries are ongoing to trace their whereabouts.
