Firefighters Help Free A Man From A Car Following A Collision on Formby Bypass

Firefighters freed a man from a car after it was in collision with a roundabout on Formby Bypass.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service attended the scene of the incident, near the junction with Liverpool Road in Formby, at around 3.20pm.

The car overturned and was in collision with a roundabout.

Firefighters helped paramedics free an 88-year-old man from the vehicle using cutting equipment. He was taken to Aintree Hospital by ambulance.

Two fire appliances from Formby and Crosby community fire stations were called out along with the Search and Rescue Team. Firefighters were at the scene for around 40 minutes.
