The emergency services were called to Church Road, Banks, near Southport, at approximately 5:15pm tonight (Sunday 30th December 2012) following reports of a RTC.
A male was thrown from his vehicle after colliding with a parked car on Church Road, Banks. (The injured male was a passenger in the parked car when it was hit from behind)
The male was lying unconscious on the pavement when paramedics arrived.
He was treated at the scene before being transferred to hospital. His condition is unknown at the present time.
Church Road is been closed to traffic and a police investigation is underway into the cause of the accident.
Banks resident Peter Crompton is recovering at home this morning after being released from hospital (minor injuries and shock)
There were no other injuries involved.
