Fire fighters tackled a flat fire on Southport Promenade (October 12).
Merseyside Fire and Rescue said that they received a call a 1.40pm.
The fire involved the roof of a bay that they believe was started by contractors that had been working on roof earlier this morning.
Fire fighters have used a nine metre ladder and rope access gear to get to the fire.
There are no reports of any injuries or of any people involved in the fire at the minute.
Two fire appliances attended the scene from Southport Community Fire Station.
