Rogue landlords blamed for fly-tipping in SOUTHPORT town centre

Southport residents have reported piles of waste being left days before collection.

Local resident, Gary Burgess said: It’s a major problem. “The people who live the area, the majority of them don’t have cars, and the council scheme is based on people driving out to the Kew tip and getting rid of what won’t fit into wheelie bins.”

“The lazy ones, or the dirty ones, fly-tip.”

“I have witnessed rogue landlords are tipping leftover waste into the street also. New residents will do it as well, if there is anything leftover in the house.”

“If it is reported the people need to be fined. It’s pure laziness and lack of respect for others.”
