Rogue fisherman caught hook line and sinker

Baffled park runners were hooked tonight after witnessing two men try to fish in Hesketh Park lake.

The less-than ‘koi’ duo were caught on camera trying to fish the notoriously shallow lake which famously contains no large fish.

When confronted by a passer by, the two men spoke with what was described as a ‘Eastern European’ accent and quickly packed up their gear and left.

Hesketh Park is a protected green site and fishing is banned there in a bid to protect the natural development of local wildlife.

A passing runner, who didn’t want to be named, told OTS News that he confronted the duo about their fishing activities but they replied in a foreign accent saying ‘we do what we want’

The baffled runner told our reporter “I was amazed with what I saw and they had little regard for what they were doing.”I just wish that someone from the council was there to catch them”
