Richard Brodie took a training session on Sunday morning for the fans’ squad playing at the upcoming 2004/05 championship reunion.

It was a great turn out and Richard again put his squad through a rigorous training routine.

A big thank you to Richard who has fulfilled a superb role as a community ambassador all season coaching in our junior schools and taking the Southport College squad.

Tickets are selling well for fans to attend the reunion taking place at the Merseyrail Community Stadium on Sunday August 2.

Tickets can be bought or collected at the Trust in Yellow members’ meeting on Tuesday (June 23) in the main part of the Grandstand Bar between 7.30pm and 9pm.

Alternatively, tickets can still be bought by calling Colin Aindow on 07861416859.

There has been a good take up of the tickets so far and, due to the 100/120 capacity of the Grandstand Bar, fans wanting to attend the reunion are asked to buy their ticket as soon as possible.

The reunion takes place on Sunday August 2 – a week before the new season kicks-off- and features a match between our supporters, fans’ squad and the 2005 championship squad, before continuing in the Grandstand Bar with your chance to meet the players.

Event tickets are available for just £5, giving you entry to both the game, kick-off 2pm, and the post-match reunion, which will start from 4.30pm and includes a buffet at no further cost, a quiz and question and answer session with the players.

It also promises to be a really fun occasion, with the supporters’ team being managed by Richard and the event is designed specifically to give fans the chance to get involved.

The Trust has been delighted with the response from the players and manager Liam Watson, who have all been very keen on the reunion and meeting with supporters.
