REVIEW | Rum tasting experience at Le Grog, Southport

17th May 2018

Le Grog is the premier rum bar in North Merseyside.

It’s reputation has steadily grown in recent years with specialised cocktails and straights, creating a taste sensation where you could find yourself spending a good afternoon metaphorically travelling the world in various rums.

Expert staff at Le Grog are always on hand to offer specialist advice, tips and twists on classics, while educating you in a wealth of white, gold and dark rums.

From 3 months old to 8 year old sweet treats, Le Grog is the place to be for both the aficionado and the amateur drinker.

Rum is made from sugarcane and molasses. It started life as a popular drink originating from the Caribbean, where most were combined with spices to make them taste better.
White, gold and dark – the darker it is, the more it has aged.

Expert staff pass on impressive knowledge and guarantee that all customers, both lovers and strangers to rum, will leave Le Grog with a new found love for a particular taste of the sweet spirit.

As well as a fine selection, Le Grog offers speciality rum tasting evenings which can be bought as a thoughtful present or as a night with a difference.

The Seabank Road hideaway is open 3pm-11pm Tuesday – Friday & 3pm-Midnight Saturday and Sunday.
