Resort events business closes after lack of covid support

Covid has claimed yet another popular Southport hospitality business as Panoramic Events reveal they are set to close down.

The owners of the Coronation Walk events business, which had, like many others, taken a huge hit during three national lockdowns, say a lack of government funding has been a major factor in the decision to close.

The company was well known around the town for its range of party hire items.

A statement from Panoramic Event owners read: “It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the sudden closure of Panoramic Events.

“Although the company has not collapsed or in any way going into administration, we won’t be able to accept any new bookings or fulfil any existing bookings in the next few weeks.

Our landlords, clients and family & friends have been great and supported us through the challenges that the events industry has faced due to Covid-19. However, due to devastating personal circumstances, our Managing Director has been faced, along with an incredibly difficult 18 months and the ongoing lack of government funding for the events sector, we have been left with no option but to temporarily cease trading.

“We would like to thank all of our loyal clients, suppliers, landlords, neighbours, friends & family for all your support. And not forgetting each and every member of staff at Panoramic Events for all their hard work and passion in making the company grow and flourish into what would have, (and still could) grown into something even bigger.

“The company was formed by just two people working alone. It went from strength to strength from the off, from 1st birthday parties, to huge corporate events for Adidas, M&S & Audi to name a few. Panoramic Events really was their passion, dream and we all gave the company and ultimately our clients our everything.
