Furious park users say dog owners need to face harsher punishments after Kings Gardens was littered in much this weekend.
A number of people have complained after large piles of dog poo were left scattered across Kings Gardens in Southport and many stood in the mess.
One furious resident who didn’t want to be named said “it is disgusting that someone will not clear uk after their dogs and all irresponsible owners should be made to eat it if they cannot be bothered picking it up.”
Council cleaners have been requested by ward councillors to tackle the issue.
