Residents are concerned about the dangerous state of Hulme Street

Mr Owen said: “It’s a disgrace, there is glass all over the road and rubbish everywhere. It is not just an eye sore but a health and safety issue.

“I can not walk my dog anymore, last week he started eating a small zipper bag containing white powder, its lucky he’s still alive.

I have complained about this to Sefton Council but they avoid the street, What do we pay Council tax for?”

Cllr David Barton said: “The mess on Hulme Street, Southport has been brought to my attention by a local resident. I immediately reported it to the relevant Departments and am awaiting their reply.”
