Refunds issued for danger fireworks show

Angry fireworks visitors let down by the last night being cancelled can now get a refund.

A post by the british Musical Fireworks Championships team says that the risks were too high and the show needed to be cancelled. Anyone who attended the show can now get a full refund.

The post reads “Due to the weather conditions during the first display on Sunday 30 September we made the decision to stop the display and cancel the rest of the event.

This was very disheartening for everybody involved. We would like to say a special thanks to Rainbow Fireworks who gave us a fantastic show but sadly had to cut it short by 2 minutes, and Distant Thunder Fireworks who not only spent the entire year planning their show, but also entire day setting up it up and most of the night (into the small hours) taking it down.

It is unfortunately a risk with the nature of this event but disheartening all the same. We tried our best to give you a great evening and we hope you enjoyed the show you saw, but the weather had other ideas!

If you attended and wish to be refunded for your ticket please visit our website for full details.”
