    R.I.P. James Mcguinness (Southport)

    OTSnews.co.uk is saddened to report the death of well know Southport man James Mcguinness.

    Jim Passed away peacefully at Southport hospital on Sunday 22nd May after a short battle with cancer.

    The funeral will take place on Friday 27th May, at 3.20pm Southport crematorium followed by a service at St Phillips church to celebrate his life.

    Friend, Gary Buckley said: “Jim was a well-known and much-loved person in Southport. When he was younger he was a keen sportsmen who played Cricket and Football and was part of the local Cycling club”.

    “The Boys Brigade was a big part of Jim’s life which he gave over 50 years service. Later on he became involved in amateur  Football in a coaching roll, enjoying success with Softbank FC”.

    Jim really did make a huge difference in so many lives and I feel honoured to have been part of his as does a lot of others who knew him”.
